A boy, aged 7, cries after his family home was destroyed at Porta Farm, 30 June 2005. The evictions at Porta Farm were carried out despite two High Court orders which clearly stated that the residents should not be evicted unless and until the authorities ensured the provision of suitable alternative accommodation. At the time of its destruction, Porta Farm was home to between 6,000 and 10,000 people, many of whom had been victims of multiple forced evictions.
