There will be more than one empty chair at the ceremony – 1 will be left bare by the UN's High Commissioner on Human Rights. The hypocrisy and cowardice that the UN have shown on the Nobel Prize thi year is extraordinary, even for them: http://www.muscularliberal.com/stories/power-empt

John Lennon was spot on when he observed that: “You have to do it yourself. That’s what the great masters and mistresses have been saying ever since time began." As countries of the world and even the High Commissioner for Human Rights turn their back on human rights heroes like Liu Xiaobo it is up to individual activists and NGOs like Amnesty International to speak truth to power and exert what Vaclav Havel described as "the power of the powerless."

    Please free Liu Xiaobo!

This is inhumane and not right! Free your mind, too!
