Compelled To Paint Troy Davis

I am painting this because I believe that I am Troy Davis

Chaz Guest, an accomplished artist whose portrait of Thurgood Marshall currently hangs in the Oval Office, learned about Troy Davis and felt compelled to act.  He took out his brushes and painted Davis as a way to bring awareness to the case and support the clemency campaign.  Here is a beautiful short film (less than two minutes) by documentary film maker David Serota about it.  Read more about the collaboration from Roger Wolfson in the Huffington Post.
