RMC. I find the hammas no cowards they have shown that are possible fight that find I well because the Israelites have started it breaking through armistice them in novenber 2008 vele soldiers of the palestijnen have shot. In December 27-2008 the soldiers of Palestinians teur have shot with rockets. The country is of the palestijnen and not the other way around. The Jews came in 1914, under the guidance of Europe at. The Jews have to be there much money for data for there. The palestijnen became in 1948, dissipated them no weapons such as the britten.400.000 Palestinians live in refugee camps and would have been possible not to their own country to hiun house. The houses of the palestijnen were broken and could not return people without pardon in the Israeli prison being put without doing something. Further the palestijnen have no water, food, eletrischeteit. Lives under poverty border live in an open prison. Whereas it is their own country and we look on but human rights are violated. The palestijnen have no debt therefore I find that the palestijnen can defend themselves against this bezetting which lasts there already 60 years and must an end to come and they must for rights rise because nobody who helps. If Israel continues this way fear I that there world war comes

What happened in Gaza can never be compared to the Holocaust. I dont know what it is.. pop culture or what not.. but the magnitute of the Holocaust isn't so easily comparable as you, AJ, so make it seem.
AND we treat them poorly? How about when the Brittish mandate was absolved and Israel and Jordan were created.... the Muslims in Israel were left defenseless. You know who left them there? Other Muslim countries; they forgot about them. They did care what happened. Israel offered them a democratic system were they could vote their own representatives in. In fact, in the Israeli elections held this last week, I believe they got three or four parties into the Knesset. OH.. and in addition, I was taking a stroll in the Arab neighborhood in Jerusalem... I didn't see oppressed people. I saw teenagers riding bikes, and kids playing soccer.
Gaza was a target because they are hosting their elected Hamas, their elected government. There isnt a day that goes by were children in S'derot or other boarding cities of Gaza that the children don't see the inside walls of a bomb shelter in their preschool.
Please, if you insist on sharing your views get some background information to back up your "cause"... because if your just going to project your fantasy beliefs, there is no use for ever really getting at the core issue:
Gaza was invaded to save the lives of Israeli citizens, the Palestinians in Gaza who were lost was due to the cowardess of Hamas... hiding behind the very people who voted them into office.

This war will only end with the total destruction, death and annihilation of Hamas. Only then there will be a chance for peace. Talking is not always the answer.

ps
What kind of a man does hide behind children and women? Don't think allah is looking for that kind of quality in his martyrs

Again, the call to action is one sided. I favor an arms embargo, if it is enforceable and applied to all sides. Only the US supplies arms to Israel whereas Hamas and the other terrorist groups are supplied by other nations either directly or smuggled arms. Once again Israel is told to disarm against its enemies and be left defenseless. What has happened is unacceptable. Civilian lives should not be lost on either side. Until Hamas recognizes Israels right to exist and accepts civil laws, peace will never prevail.

Burt, so what if you are Jewish? Half of Amnesty is Jewish, probably. This doesn't make your arguments more objective, really. Maybe you like to be a victim? Maybe you like to sound like a hero?

You write:
..."It’s ironic that supporters of Israel’s violence claim that Israel has a right to defend itself. By their logic, Palestinains have the exact same right–more, in fact, since this conflict started with the forced eviction and murder of Palestinians ..."

Well, first of all, if Palestinians defended themselves by making sure the Israelis would not be able to harm them, this would be acceptible. But, instead, they do everything to have their own people harmed as much as possible. The problem is that AI and UN seem to be encourging this

Israel, on the other hand, works hard to protect its citizens. You may not like the fence they built around West Bank, but, you have to admit it -- terrorism nearly disappeared after it being built. While Palestinians complain about the "Israeli siege of Gaza," they could have used the huge $ they get from the Europeans (do your research) to find ways of not depending on Israel. In fact, Israel seemed to have been doing exactly that while being seiged by the hostile Arab world for the past 60y. The argument that Israel recieves a lot of outside help is non-existant: do your research on how much help the Palestinians get.

I am Jewish, and I do not support Israel's violence against Palestinians. One genocide does not justify another.

It's ironic that supporters of Israel's violence claim that Israel has a right to defend itself. By their logic, Palestinains have the exact same right--more, in fact, since this conflict started with the forced eviction and murder of Palestinians to make way for the new state of Israel.

To put this another way, imagine I come to your house, tell you my great, great, great grandfather lived there and that really, really bad things happened to me and my family and that therefore I'm taking the house, by force, whether you like it or not. You have no rule of law to appeal to. You throw a rock, I shoot you. I say I have a right to defend myself, and that you have no right to defend yourself. Your neighbors try to kill me, I beat them. You suicide bomb me, I heard you and your friends in to ghettos, control where you can go and what you can get and bomb you at will.

Eventually, I'm willing to make amends--I'm willing to let you take control of your ghetto as your own. But you want your house back and compensation for your losses. I say you must accept my offer--or nothing. I say I am the victim. I say that I have the right to kill you for your response to my taking your house. I say that you have no right to kill me for taking your house. I say this conflict is intractable, that it's because you are a terrorist. I am innocent, I'm just defending myself. You have no such right.

The hypocrisy is sickening. If anything, Amnesty International has been too soft on Israel by trying to be equal. This conflict started with evictions and murders of Palestinians to make way for the state of Israel. To end this conflict, Israel, the US, UK and the UN must provide fair compensation to the Palestinians for those crimes.

The Palestinian plight is similar to that of the Native Americans, African slaves in the US, Tibetans and--the ultimate irony--Jews in WWII. One genocide does not justify another. Wake up.

Have you all forgotten that the Palestinians have been systematically expelled or killed in successive wars of Zionist expansion? This is GENOCIDE! Read Professor Ilan Pappe's book: THE ETHNIC CLEANSING OF PALESTINE. The West Bank and Gaza are OCCUPIED-against International Law. Non indigenous "ingathereds" ("aliyah") are planting colonial settlements on confiscated Palestinian lands.
Dr. Israel Shahak, former President of the Israeli League for Human Rights,
stated the crux of the matter in his book:OPEN SECRETS:"Israeli strategies are aimed at establishing a hegemony over the entire Middle East. The first victim is the Palestinian nation. (Israel) will use all means available, INCLUDING NUCLEAR." Israel is doing this now--in Gaza.

Non indigenous “ingathereds” (”aliyah”) are planting colonial settlements on confiscated Palestinian lands.
Dr. Israel Shahak, former President of the Israeli League for Human Rights,
stated the crux of the matter in his book:OPEN SECRETS:”Israeli strategies are aimed at establishing a hegemony over the entire Middle East. The first victim is the Palestinian nation. (Israel) will use all means available, INCLUDING NUCLEAR.” Israel is doing this now–in Gaza.

I fully agree with HPM, Norman Erlichman and most of the others.

Your motives are good, No one wnts to see the loss of civilian lives, but when the armed forces of a country hide behind civilians, covers its smuggling tunnels with civilian residences, it is the armed forces of that country that has to bear the resposibility for these losses.

Speak up and put the blame were it belongs, so that I canonce more respect you and continue to support your good efforts around the world
