Powerful New Video to Save Troy Davis

Indie rock group State Radio has joined forces with Amnesty International USA to create a powerful new video about the case of death row inmate Troy Anthony Davis. Davis faces execution in the state of Georgia, despite compelling evidence that he may be innocent.

has there been any update since the ct date before the 11th?

Hi Leigh – there has not been any update on the case since the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals stayed Davis’ execution on October 24. The court heard oral arguments in December, and the stay will remain in effect until the court rules. A ruling could come down as soon as today, or not for weeks or months.

I saw the video, and even the song brought tears to my eyes. With the widespread attention, Troy could be turned into another Evita Peron. Until then, I will pray for him and his family and the MacPhail family.

It is sad that even still in this day and time people still cant get a fair trial. 7out of 9 witnesses have recanted their stories. 7 out of 9. Now you do the math. No evidence have linked him to the murder if there ever was any. When has it ever been legal to hold someone for 18 years for a murder where there was nothing to link him to the murder and 7 out of 9 witnesses have recanted their stories. Now I see why people say:fuck our justice system.It is really sad. My heart goes out to this man and his family. Look like the judge would take the time to think and say wait a minute. What if this was me or my children or one of my family members. Something is not right about this. How can these people lie down at night. How can they sleep with themselves. Its sad. It really is. I pray that God steps in and fix the situation and set this man free.

This video does an excellent job of bringing the facts to the forefront. I am using it on my site for my post.
Hopefully we will see justice served in this matter for Troy Davis.
